Meet Your Teaching Team

Wynn Fricke

Wynn Fricke has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1993 in her home sangha of Common Ground Meditation Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is co-founder of Common Ground with her spouse Mark Nunberg, and continues her work there as a dharma teacher. Wynn has been guided by her root teachers Kamala Masters, Steve Armstrong, and Marcia Rose, among others. She spent time at Chanmyay Yeiktha Meditation Centre in Burma under the direction of Sayadaw U Janaka and Sayadaw U Indika, and has also practiced with teachers from the Thai Forest Tradition, a lineage that is particularly resonant for her.

Peace Twesigye

I am a musician, meditation teacher and mentor, teacher of BuddhaDharma, and leadership consultant who hopes to be a part of the changes that unbind each of us from the systems that limit our momentum toward expressions of joy, love, loss, compassion, and creativity. I am the former Director of Programming in Buddhist Studies and of the Thích Nhất Hạnh Program for Engaged Buddhism at Union Theological Seminary. I am currently on the board of Lion’s Roar Foundation, and am participating in the Insight Meditation Society and Spirit Rock retreat teacher training program from 2025-2028. I love being in the mountains, near the ocean, in the forest, in-between, and looking up to see and contemplate space and the galaxies in the cosmos!
