Practicing with Modern Life
Community Healing and the Dharma
Thursdays, January 8 & 22, 2026
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm ET
How do we heal as communities when the wounds of injustice run deep? In this two-part series, Dr. Marisela Gomez—community activist, public health professional, physician-scientist, and Buddhist teacher—guides us through the Dharma of collective healing. Through meditation, reflection, and dialogue, we will consider how mindfulness and community organizing practices intersect to rebuild trust and compassion with each other through grieving and healing, renewing joy and insight, to nurture our liberation.
