Seeing the Importance of Cultivating Concentration (Samadhi) in a Lay Life
IMS Online Weekend Retreat
July 19 - 20, 2025
each day at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm ET & 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET
When external conditions begin to fluctuate and spin at a fast pace, we need to know how to ground and stabilize ourselves internally. Knowing how to establish mindfulness is an empowerment. It creates agency in oneself and allows us to move through challenging situations with strength and integrity. Concentration is the foundation for strength and integrity. There's no better time to cultivate concentration (samadhi) than right now. This weekend is the 2nd part of a 2 part series.
We will explore some of the pitfalls and complications that show up with practitioners around concentration (samadhi). We will also explore how concentration naturally arises out of the establishment of mindfulness and why it's important to cultivate concentration (samadhi) in lay life.
